• How long have you worked at Roman Showers?

I joined Roman in June 1999 – so 24 years. A big milestone next year!

• What is your role within Roman Showers?

Business Development Manager for Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and across the M62 corridor.

• What's the best quality Roman Showers has in your opinion?

Trusted British brand with business integrity and the reassurance of high-class customer service and a meaningful guarantee.

• What is Roman Showers stance on sustainability?

As the leading British manufacturer it is a massive issue for us, whilst we are Carbon Neutral we are extremely focussed on the Circular Economy and almost all of our materials used in manufacture are 100% recycled before use and can be fully recycled after use – back to their original value.

• If you renovated your bathroom now which range of Roman Showers would you choose?

The Innov8 Range for styling – but if I was buying a Sliding Door I would choose one of the level access models.

• If you could choose an old range to bring back which one would it be?

The Roman Classics Range was way ahead of its time and the first product to actually chrome plate aluminium.

• Can a DIY enthusiast install a Roman Shower or do you think they need to be professionally installed?

Definitely – the instructions are very clear, you just need to have the right tools, make sure you follow the instructions properly and seal the product correctly.

• Why should a customer choose Roman over a competitor? 

We are a well-known British brand and all our products are proudly made in Britain as opposed to the vast majority of our competitors who are importing finished products from China. Buying British clearly benefits the British economy but also gives you levels of provenance and trust that an imported product cannot.

• Which frame colours are on trend at the moment for Roman? 

Matt Black is definitely now mainstream – and the Roman finish uniquely is sandblasted which effectively renders it scratch-proof. Brushed Brass is not too far behind… Others are emerging for next year.

• Since Brexit have you still been exporting Roman Showers successfully?

No problem for us at all. All products are made in Britain so nothing changes for us and our exports to the EU have actually increased significantly (only those suppliers trying to re-export a Chinese import will have change).

• What are the finest hotel projects you have supported around the world? 

Very difficult to narrow these down. We are currently doing The Millen in Penang, Malaysia, which is an amazing bathroom design and an incredible location; The Rosewood in Munich is stunning; the Hilton in La Defense, Paris, is iconic; and closer to home, the soon to open Yotel in Stratford, London, is the new definition of cool.
